Advent Wreath Making

Yesterday for the first Sunday in Advent, our church offered an Advent wreath making workshop/opportunity.  Many of us already knew how to do it, and we got right to work.  Others needed some initial instruction, but soon caught on.

We had straw wreaths, and a few of us had gotten the greens that were discarded from a home center's tree lot.

We had candle holders for those of us making Advent wreaths.  Some of us already had those, so we made wreaths.

We had lots of ribbons and baubles.

We even decorated the Advent wreath for the worship space.

I am always surprised by how many different wreaths we create.

But most important, we give people an item to take home to help keep the focus on Advent.
