The Letter from Birmingham Jail and th...Thank you. The Letter from Birmingham Jail and the bombs yesterday do go together. The butterfly effect amazing. It was Sunday that I heard a sermon remembering the bombings in Mississippi during the Civil Rights movement in the 1960's. In those days it was other terrorists who were trying to manipulate the Black folk of their area. Today we are afraid that our nation is under attack. It all comes from the same demonic urge--the need to control. When we run, vulnerable and free we belie the world's need to control. To run freely in our world is just what our faith demands. It is a sign to the world that life is meant to be lived with such grace and abandon. It is amazing that that freedom is so fearful for some that it needs to be attacked.<br /><br />Personally, I think that this is a random bomber (rather than an organized terrorist movement) who is especially frightened by peoples' freedom because he is specifically NOT free.Muthah+https://www.blogger.com/profile/10589837671378205837noreply@blogger.com
